Geodesy

In the field of geodesy the Land Board is responsible for the planning and co-ordination of works necessary for the development of national and local networks as well as for the creation of geodetic database.

The main goals of the Department of Geodesy are as follows:

Developing of the geodetic networks needed for mapping purposes and other databases.

Developing of the Geodetic Database and provision of public access to the data.

The main tasks are:

drafting legal acts regulating the field of geodesy

drafting necessary specifications and manuals

developing long-term strategic development plans and programmes in the relevant field

organizing of construction and reconstruction of national geodetic networks

organizing of construction and reconstruction of local geodetic networks

organizing of the geodetic database development

drafting documents for public procurements

preparing and managing of contracts for the construction of geodetic networks and creation of the geodetic database

administration and protection of geodetic marks

cooperation with international organisations
